The church structures its
children's ministry to best meet the needs of the ages of the children
in its spiritual care. As a result, activities change depending on the
children participating.
The youth ministry provides many
opportunities for children of all ages to actively participate in the
regular morning worship service, in addition to their Sunday School
classes. Each worship service includes a Children's Corner where
children of all ages are brought forward within the congregation to
listen to a children's story.
In addition to the children's
story, youth members participate in the music ministry, Christian drama
and story telling. In addition to helping our children to grow in the
Holy Spirit, these activities also allow them to gain confidence and
self-esteem in a place where they are both loved and valued.
Activities for older youth have
also included visits to Baptist Conventions and youth conferences,
participation in fundraisers and variety shows, and giving sandwiches
and hot beverages to the homeless people in Halifax.
